Plenty of couples know the feeling: the wedding is booked, the guest list is set, and the one question everyone keeps asking — "what would you like as a gift?" — has no easy answer. The founders of Sent With Love faced exactly that while planning their own wedding. "We realised we already had everything we needed," they write. "We didn't want to ask for physical gifts we wouldn't use, but we also didn't feel comfortable asking for money in a traditional way."
So they went looking for a better option — "a modern, simple and thoughtful way for guests to contribute without the awkwardness" — and, by their own account on the About page, ended up building it. The result is an Australian online registry designed, in their words, for couples "who already have a home, a life together, and a vision for what comes next": a modern take on the wishing well, where guests can put money towards a honeymoon, a home deposit, an experience or a shared goal, and leave a personal message with every contribution.

Cash, gifts and experiences in one place
Setting up takes minutes, and the process runs in six simple steps: create a free registry, add the gifts you love, share it privately with guests, let them choose and contribute, receive the funds, then say thank you. Gifts don't need to be linked to any store — couples simply upload a photo, name the item and add a short description. Bigger-ticket items can be split into shares so friends and family can chip in together, and guests see how many shares remain without seeing who bought them.
Couples who prefer traditional presents aren't left out. Any item can be marked as "reserved", so a guest buys it from a retailer of their choice and gives it in person — Sent With Love doesn't sell physical products and isn't affiliated with any store, which keeps the registry about the couple rather than a department-store catalogue. Registries are shared by private link, through invitations, a wedding website, messages or a QR code, and guests get in with a password the couple chooses. The same tools work for baby showers, birthdays, engagement parties and anniversaries.
A flat fee, and a proper thank you
The pricing is refreshingly plain: no setup fees, no subscriptions and no monthly charges — just a 1.9% platform fee on cash contributions, and none at all on reserved gifts. Card processing fees may apply at checkout and are shown before payment. The site's own worked example makes it simple: on a $100 contribution, the platform fee is $1.90 and the couple receives $98.10. Contributions are processed by a licensed payments provider, can take up to 48 hours to settle, and are paid out to the couple's bank account after verification checks, with the first payout at least 15 days after the registry starts — the FAQ notes most couples set their payout date close to the big day.

The final step is the one that brings it full circle. From their registry dashboard, couples can send thank-you postcards — postcard-style emails personalised with their own photo and message, each sent individually "so every guest feels truly appreciated". Paired with the messages guests leave alongside their gifts, the registry becomes something of a keepsake: a record not only of what was given, but of the love and well-wishes that came with it.
Couples can browse a sample registry to see how it looks before signing up, and guests can search for a couple's page through Find a Registry. For anyone who already has the toaster, the linen and the good knives, it's a welcome way to let the people who love you help with what comes next.
